In the case that a postgraduate student chooses to undertake an Internship, the following conditions apply:
The Internship is coordinated by the Internship Coordinator, who is a faculty member of the MSc program, appointed by the Program Committee (P.C.). The coordinator is responsible for the overall supervision of the educational process of the internship within the study program, as well as for coordinating the Internship Supervisors and host organizations.
The Internship Supervisor is responsible for guiding and supporting students throughout the internship process at the host organization, maintaining communication with the host organization to ensure the achievement of the intended learning outcomes, and updating the Internship Coordinator and the Internship Committee. Faculty members of the MSc program may serve as Supervisors.
The Internship must be directly related to the academic subject area of the MSc program and should be conducted within the student’s field of study, aiming to connect postgraduate studies with their practical application in the professional environment. It is expected that students will gain work experience in new areas, experience the practical application of new knowledge, and be prepared for new work environments or conditions.
By the end of the second (2nd) semester, the postgraduate student must apply to the Secretariat of the MSc program, indicating the proposed Internship Supervisor, with the Supervisor’s written consent.
Postgraduate students who do not submit the application within the deadlines set by the Regulations are personally responsible for postponing the start of their internship by at least one academic semester.
The Internship corresponds to 30 ECTS credits, which represent the total workload required of the student to complete it successfully.
