The Department of Physical Education and Sport Science and the Democritus University of Thrace offer a range of electronic services to all undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department.
Online Secretariat
Students can access information regarding their academic status, course registration, grades, and more via the Online Secretariat of D.U.Th., which is available only after connecting to the university’s Virtual Private Network (VPN). Login is required using the same credentials as the university email, even when using a computer on campus.
For VPN connection instructions in the Helpdesk knowledge base, click HERE.
Academic ID
The academic ID is required for student identification in services where it is necessary (e.g., transactions with the Secretariat, student discounts, etc.). It can be issued through the relevant online platform.
Asynchronous E-Learning
Each course is supported by the eClass asynchronous learning platform, through which students can communicate with instructors, exchange materials and course-related information, take tests and quizzes, and more.

Synchronous E-Learning
In addition to in-person teaching and asynchronous e-learning, synchronous e-learning is also available via https://itc.duth.gr/msteams/, enabling real-time interaction between instructors and students. This method simulates classroom instruction without requiring physical presence.
Textbook Provision
For each course, students can choose the textbook(s) they will use during their undergraduate studies. Selection and ordering are done electronically via the Eudoxus service. All textbooks created under the “Hellenic Academic Electronic Textbooks and Aids” initiative are available in the Kallipos open-access repository.
Communication between students and university services is conducted via email. Each student is provided with an institutional email account accessible via https://ermis.duth.gr/login.php.
Cloud Storage
Students can access and share personal files with others through the Pithos file storage service.
