Application File – Required Documents


The application file must include the following documents:

  1. Application form for admission.
  2. Copy of undergraduate degree (first-cycle studies) from a Higher Education Institution (University or Technological Educational Institute) in Greece or from an equivalent recognized institution abroad, including the exact grade, date, and year of award.
    • If the degree grade is expressed in qualitative terms or as an integer, a certificate from the awarding institution indicating the exact numerical grade must also be submitted.
    • In the case of degrees from foreign institutions, the degree must be submitted in a certified copy and accompanied by the DOATAP recognition document, confirming equivalence and correspondence to Greek academic qualifications, as well as grade scale equivalency.
    • Applicants who have completed all degree requirements but have not yet participated in a graduation ceremony must submit: a) a certificate of completion of studies, and b) an official transcript of all courses, including the final degree grade and a note stating that only the graduation ceremony is pending.
  3. Photocopy of identity card or passport
    • A clear copy of both sides of the Greek national ID card, or an official temporary certificate issued by the competent authority, or of the relevant passport pages (showing the number and personal details of the holder).
  4. Certificate of good knowledge (B2 level) of a foreign language (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish).

Additional Supporting Documents Considered for Evaluation:

  • Evidence of scientific publications or conference presentations.
  • Documents proving verified professional experience.
  • Participation in research or European programs.
  • Second university degree from a recognized HEI (Greek or foreign – for foreign degrees, a DOATAP recognition document is required).
  • Higher foreign language proficiency than B2 level.

Important Notes:

  • Applicants must meet all eligibility criteria and possess all required documents (e.g., degrees, language certificates, recognition documents for foreign degrees) by the application deadline.
  • Clear and legible copies of documents are accepted in the application file, provided they have been issued: a) by Greek public sector entities (e.g., university degrees, transcripts), or b) by foreign institutions (e.g., university degrees, transcripts, foreign language certificates), as long as they are officially certified by a lawyer.
  • By submitting their application, candidates expressly consent to the processing of their personal data for the purposes of the program (GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation, EU 2016/679).
